Wine Education

Here at Dialog Wines, we are proud to say that we are wine geeks. That is to say that we can’t wait for our next wine event and we wait by the mailbox for our subscription of Wine Spectator or Decanter to show up… We even love our excruciating wine training that drags out over months (and even years).

However, we realize that not everyone has the same commitment and time to give to wine as we do.

This is why we are so happy to be able to offer a series of courses at Dialog’s Wine Studio that are designed to introduce you to different style wines and give you a little more education, so that you feel comfortable shopping for wine, ordering off of a wine list or even impressing your friends at your next social gathering!

Our Course offerings in the fall are as follows:

Wine 100 – Know your grapes!

This course is designed mainly for wine beginners. Quite simply, we are going to give you a brief overview of how wine is made. Then we will introduce you some of the well known grape varieties that make up the wines that we usually see on a day to day basis at the wine store. We’ll sample typical styles of these wines and before you know it, you’ll know the differences between these grapes, where they are commonly grown in the world and what style of wine you can expect when you taste it! The US Open

Sorry, if you have come to play golf or tennis, you’re in the wrong place! But if you would like to learn a little bit and taste the wines of Washington State, Oregon and California, then the Dialog Studio is the place to be! Click here to view our calendar of events and to see when this course is being offered.

Tour de France

Again, no bicycles please. Conquer the scary French Section of the Liquor Store! Let us help you understand the confusing labels and the different styles of wine coming from specific regions of France. Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne! You’ll only love wine more after this class. Expand your knowledge and your palate. Click here to view our calendar of events and to see when this course is being offered.

The Campaign for Champagne

At the Dialog Studio, we love bubbles in our wine. Food friendly, crisp, refreshing and more unique than you would ever imagine. Sparkling wine doesn’t always have to be for special occasions. Come learn about and taste sparkling wines from around the world. Click here to view our calendar of events and to see when this course is being offered.

“This year we had 15 wines at our table – the most we have ever poured. When the dust settled on Sunday evening, I’m proud to say that we had the top-performing booth at the Wine Show and had 6 of the top 15 selling wines of the show.”
